Revitalization of the Veľké Leváre Chateau
Bačiková, Lenka ; Vojtová, Lea (referee) ; Hrabec, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a study of revitalization and restoration of the manor house and park in Veľké Leváre. During the creation of the design it was necessary to re-evaluate the cultural-historical values of the manor house, the construc- tional-technical condition, the requirements of the potential investor and the demand for functions in the village’s proximity. I have realized that placement of a mono-function in a mansion is almost impossible, considering its extensive ground plan. The manor house, thus, creates a complex of functions that overlap each other. The result of the entire design is a com- prehensive solution of the full use of the manor house with the park. Hence, the park will have a relaxing and recreational function. In the proposal, I have also offered a possible plan of stages of project’s works. The manor house and the adjacent park can, thus, fulfill the full function in the society again.

The inspiration is called unesco: from world heritage to special forestry sites in slovakia
Mičovský, Ján
Medieval devastation of forests led to the emergence of a forest profession. Today, the importance of this profession is enhanced by climate change. Despite this, foresters are often exposed to misunderstanding. Therefore, it is necessary to talk not only about the values of the forest, but also about the value of forestry work. One possibility is to offer an unconventional view of landscape elements created in connection with forestry. We can include these under the concept of natural, technical or building monuments. Reservations, transport systems, works of art, arboretum..., all this reveals the unsuspected breadth of forestry. These works not only document the ability of foresters to contribute to the creation and protection of the landscape, but are often also a contribution to the appreciation of its beauty. The system of declaring the world's natural and cultural heritage, which has been applied by UNESCO since 1972, offered inspiration in the attempt to use these values in presenting forestry. Its analogy in the conditions of Slovak forestry became the system of declaring "special forestry sites". This system, as an original way of protecting forestry history, has been implemented since 2007 by the state enterprise Lesy SR. So far, 58 special forestry sites have been declared. The guarantor of the system is the Forestry and Timber Museum in Zvolen. The idea grew into a permanent project, in which museum experts find not only an educational and popularizing effect, but also a tool for deepening forestry historical research. The most important part of this system is the increased protection, maintenance and often costly reconstruction of landscape monuments.

Cihla, Michal ; Frommeltová, E. ; Hodač, J. ; Kovářová, K. ; Pavelka, K. ; Panáček, M. ; Valach, Jaroslav
This preservation procedure is the result of the research project entitled „Building stone surface topography and its application in the field of stone features restoration“ No.DG20P02OVV021, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. The aim of the preservation procedure was to verify the suitability and applicability of precise measuring methods in order to assess the degree of restoration intervention in the area of traces of stone surface working. The method of close-range photogrammetry was chosen as a tool to evaluate the changes in the topography of stone surfaces bearing traces of working.

Cultural Policy Amidst Disputed Memory: Cultural Sector Impacts in Kosovo and Nagorno-Karabakh
Conyers, Heather ; Brisku, Adrian (advisor) ; Asavei, Maria Alina (referee)
The cultural heritage sector's role in ethnic conflict is a direct reflection of the official narrative i tis trying to convey. The challenges these sectors face under various challenges are a topic of academic discussion as it relates to various other theoretical aspects. Previous research has indicated themes of antagonism, primordialism, and perennialism within national narratives surrounding ethnci conflict and territorial disputes. The international response has been varied in these situations and intercultural dialogu eis largely fascilitated by outside organisations. This thesis examines primary and secondary sources relating to the conflicts in Nagorno Karabakh and Kosovo. Examples are presented reflecting the cultural heritage landscape in both cases. Nagorno Karabakh and Kosovo are then compared and assesed for similairites and differences. This thesis found that the cultural heritage sector in both regions were similair in terms of context, myths, and antagonistic commemorations, but differeed regarding jurisdiction and application.
Methodology for the Classification and Evaluation of Industrial Heritage: Water Management
Ryšková, M. ; Dzuráková, M. ; Pavelková, R. ; Vyskočil, Aleš
The methodology deals with water management facilities (dams, small reservoirs, waterways, facilities for the use of water energy, water supply facilities, sewerage and sewage treatment plants), which it assesses from the point of view of monument care. It provides a basic orientation in the topic, an overview of the typology and tools for evaluating water management facilities/objects. The structure of the methodology and the focus on evaluation criteria, which are not yet sufficiently known and accepted in monument care: the typological value, the value of the technological flow and involvement in wider systems are adapted to this. In monument care practice, it should thus contribute to improvements in the documentation, evaluation and objective selection of the most important examples designed for monument protection, which could help to eliminate (or at least mitigate) the protection imbalance of individual types of water management facilities. The methodology is intended primarily for employees of monument care and state administration. It is a tool for orientation in the topic of water management and for their evaluation from the point of view of monument care. It is also recommended as a teaching aid for high schools and universities with a technical focus in the field of water construction and water management.

Cyrila a Metoděje, vždy s účastí veřejnosti a často i vládnoucího aparátu.
